OXYMYCIN L/A injection 20% solution is a long acting broad spectrum antibiotics with a bacteriostatic action against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and furthermore rickettsia, some mycoplasma, chlamydia and protozoa. After parenteral administration of OXYMYCIN L/A injection 20% solution high blood and tissue levels are rapidly attained. After a single application the therapeutical level is maintained in the organism for 3 to 5 days. At therapeutic dosages it does not cause toxic reactions.

Indications |

For prevention and treatment of diseases due to Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Spirochete, Rickettsia, large sized virus, etc. susceptible to Oxytetracycline as specified in the following : Cattle : treatment of anaplasmosis, pneumonia, leptospirosis, foot rot, diphtheria, systemic mastitis, blackleg, bacterial enteritis, actinomycosis, omphalitis-arthritis, wound infectious disease, etc. and the treatment an prevention of shipping fever, postoperative and postpartum infectious disease, etc. Sheep : treatment of pneumonia, epidemic abortion (bedsoniosis), blackleg, foot rot, systemic mastitis, metritis, omphalitis-arthritis, wound infectious disease, etc. and the treatment an prevention of shipping fever, postoperative and postpartum infectious disease, etc. Swine : treatment of pneumonia, leptospirosis, erysipelas, systemic mastitis, bacterial enteritis, omphalitis-arthritis, wound infectious disease, etc. and the treatment an prevention of pneumonia due to shipping and moving, mastitis, metritis, piglet's diarrhea, postoperative and postpartum infectious disease, etc.

Dosage and Use |

Inject as follows per 10kg of body weight intramuscularly. Cattle : 1mL Sheep : 1mL Swine : 1mL
In the serious case, the treatment may be repeated after 3~5 days. It is applied deeply intramuscularly. The drug should be applied at several sites if the dose exceeds 20mL for cattle, 10mL for pig and 5mL for sheep. Not recommended for cats, dogs and horses.

Precaution(s) and others |

1. Treat in accordance with the prescription and direction of veterinarian. 2. Keep the withdrawal periods : Discontinue use in cattle(beef cattle), swine and sheep 30 days before slaughter. And do not use in lactating dairy cattle. 3. Since bacteriostatic drugs may interfere with the bactericidal action of penicillin, it is advisable to avoid giving OXYMYCIN L/A injection in conjunction with penicillin. 4. Store in a cool and dark place at the room temperature 15~30℃ and keep from freezing. If OXYMYCIN L/A injection 20% solution comes in contact with air, it may change the color but does not lose its activity.
