Clemizole Penicillin G....................... 240,000 I.U.
Penicillin G Sodium............................ 60,000 I.U.
Dihydrostreptomycin Sulfate........................ 0.375 g (as base)


Feature and Benefits
 
CLEPEN-SM injection has a synergistic and broad spectrum of antibacterial activity through the combination of clemizole penicillin G, penicillin G sodium and dihydrostreptomycin sulphate, and it shows strong bactericidal efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms.


Indications
 
For prevention and treatment of following various bacterial diseases caused by bacteria susceptible to the preparation.
- Cattle: Treatment of upper respiratory diseases like shipping fever, bacterial pneumonia, rhinitis and pharyngitis, and prevention of infection after surgery
- Calves: Prevention of shipping fever
- Swine: Treatment of erysipelas and pneumonia, and prevention of postpartum infections
- Horses : Treatment of bacterial pneumonia and strangles
- Dogs: Alleviation of leptospirosis and prevention of infection after surgery

Dosage and Use
 
Dilute 20g of the product into 40mL of distilled water or normal saline and inject as follows intramuscularly or subcutaneously. Administer two times at interval of 48-72 hours.
- Cattle. Horses:
5mL of diluted product per 100 kg of body weight
- Swine, Calves, Foal:
3-4mL of diluted product per 50kg of body weight (In case of treating erysipelas, administer upto 3 times of the dose.)
- Piglets, Dogs:
1mL of diluted product per 10kg of body weight


Precaution(s) and others
 
1. Withdrawal period - Cattle, Swine: 30 days, Milk: 4 days
2. Do not administer to animals which have a hypersensitivity to penicillin or streptomycin,
3. Do not use mixing or duplicating with other medicaments.
4. Dissolve completely and use the once reconstituted solution immediately as can as possible.
5. There can be anaphylaxis (shock) rarely to the animals that have hypersensitiveness to the preparation, so the close observation should be needed after administration. If there are abnormal symptoms like nausea, vomitus, stomachache, quadriplegia, etc., stop to administer and follow the direction of veterinarian
6. Be careful for the diluted solution not to contact with skin or eyes. If contacted the skin or eyes, wash with clean water immediately and completely.
